Bay Area Metal Fabrication & Installation

Dylan Denicke, a native of Oakland, CA, is the founder of Friendly Fabrication, established in 2015. With a rich background in the restaurant industry, Dylan has held roles ranging from server, host, and cook to oyster shucker, general manager, and owner of a small, full-service restaurant in San Francisco. Building and fabricating have always been integral parts of Dylan's life; his father was a wooden boat builder and general carpenter, while his identical twin excelled as a stick welder and blacksmith.

Dylan began contemplating his next move as the allure of restaurant ownership gave way to the daily grind and an unsustainable lifestyle. After exploring various careers related to the restaurant industry, he found his calling in metal fabrication. For Dylan, the appeal of metal fabrication lies in its problem-solving core—a trait it shares with the restaurant industry. In both fields, "the show must go on," whether it's opening the restaurant doors every day or ensuring safety and aesthetic appeal in metal fabrication. Dylan prides himself on being a problem solver, whether by facilitating a memorable evening in his restaurant days or through his current work in metal fabrication.

Friendly Fabrication specializes in a wide range of projects, including architectural metalwork, custom-forged handrails and guardrails, and fabrication in steel, stainless steel, and brass, along with providing design insights. Dylan's work emphasizes safety, durability, and beauty, enhancing both residential and commercial properties. His portfolio includes restaurant shelving, service tables, bar tops, blackened steel ornamental cladding, and structural elements designed for simplicity and minimalism.
